Welcome from the Chairman
The LAEDC is an organization of business leaders who have a vested interest in the local
economy and have a genuine interest in each other's views. One of the hallmarks of the
LAEDC has always been the quality of the board and the executive committee, and the
continued roles and involvement of many past Chairs.
The members of the LAEDC Board of Directors are civic leaders and ranking executives of the region's
leading public and private organizations. Through financial support and direct participation in the
mission, programs and public policy initiatives of the LAEDC, the board is committed to playing a
decisive role in shaping the region's economic future.
Since 1996, the LAEDC has helped attract, retain, and expand more than 132,600 jobs from over 936 businesses, providing $5.6 billion in annual direct economic impact from salaries and an estimated $95 million in annual tax revenue benefit to Los Angeles County.
